TCAN has suspended proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a requirement for entry. Masks are still strongly encouraged for all patrons but are not required. This policy is subject to change at any time.

River Whyless has a new album releasing just before their performance at TCAN, which means they'll be performing new music for you to enjoy. Self-produced, Monoflora will be the fourth full-length album for this folk-rock band.

Six years, two albums and countless gigs after first forming as a band, River Whyless, the North Carolina-bred folk-rock outfit has discovered their evolution is a subtler albeit monumentally important one. Deep in the throes of writing and recording their bold new album, Kindness, A Rebel , the four musicians reached a necessary and collective understanding. Namely: this band is their lifeblood, their family and their love.

To that end, with unspoken acceptance, the members of River Whyless, each songwriters in their own right, collectively put aside their respective egos, coalesced around each other’s creative vision, and fully embraced the beauty of their enduring partnership.

Opening for River Whyless is Allegra Krieger, a New York based songwriter & composer. With emotive lyricism and explorative harmony, her songs are at once cathartic and compelling. On March 4th 2022, her album, Precious Thing, will be released with Northern Spy Records.
