Opera del West presents A Night of Leonard Bernstein

Opera del West presents a centennial celebration of the music of Leonard Bernstein. Featuring songs from "Mass," "On the Town," "Wonderful Town," "Peter Pan," "The Skin of Our Teeth," "West Side Story," "Trouble in Tahiti," and featuring a preview of our upcoming production of "Candide," directed by Kristy Chambrelli, which will take place August 24 and August 25 (Bernstein's 100th birthday!) at the Boston Center for the Arts.

With David Rivera Bozon, Megan Brunning, Lauren Cook, Joel Edwards, Emily Harmon, Jingyi Huang, Katherin Kneisley, Brandon Martinez, Erin Merceruio Nelson, Timothy Passetto, Trysten Reynolds, Ethan Sagin, Amanda Sindel-Keswick, Fred VanNess, and Rebecca Wright; Eve Budnick and Dan Shore, pianists.

 

ABOUT OPERA DEL WEST

Founded in 2006 by musical director Eve Budnick and Rebecca Grimes, Opera del West is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to its mission of producing fully staged operas to the audiences of MetroWest Boston at The Center for Arts in Natick. Past productions have included Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute, Menotti's The Old Maid and Amelia Goes to the Ball, Rossini's La Cenerentola, Humberdinck's Hansel und Gretel and Little Women by Mark Adamo. Opera del West recruits cast members from Boston's rich talent pool of classical singers, many of whom are graduates of Boston's top music schools and conservatories.
