Steve Martin, yes the one from Saturday Night Live, takes on an imagined meeting between Picasso and Albert Einstein in a Paris bar named The Lapin Agile. The humor is quick, intellegent, and razor sharp. Meet the cast:

Bill Novakowski- Freddy

Bill is making his TCAN Players debut as Freddy. Bill works at Wayland Middle School and his hobbies include reading an actual book where you turn the pages, hiking and white water rafting in Idaho. He says “Every day I wake up is a good day.” Bill lives in Ashland with his family.

Dan Baker-Picasso

Picasso at the Lapin Agile will be Dan’s third show with the TCAN Players. He was previously seen in the Players productions of Stop Kiss and The Mousetrap. Dan has completed a screen writing program in LA and although he has a verity of day jobs, he hopes that someday someone will pay him to write. His hobbies include writing, rock climbing, improve and eating nachos. Dan currently lives in Dorchester but is originally from Ashland, Ma.

Emma Foley- Countess/Admirer

Emma is a lifelong resident of Natick and is currently a junior at Natick High School. Picasso is her first show with the TCAN Players. However Emma got her start in theatre by taking a Pocket Full of Tales class at TCAN when she was 7. Emma’s hobbies include writing and backpacking. She hopes to one day pursue theater as a professional career.

Jason Bowman-Singer

Playing The Singer will be Jason’s first appearance with the TCAN Players. He was born in Pasadena, CA and currently lives in West Boylston Ma. Jason has a B.S in communications and video production from Fitchburg State University. He started performing in high school and since then some of his favorite roles include playing Harold in The Music Man and Jesus Costazuela in the female version of The Odd Couple. When not performing in a show, Jason likes to do loads of hiking and camping in the 4000 footers of New Hampshire.

Jim Porter-Sagot

Jim is making his onstage debut with the TCAN Players. However Jim was the director of the Players’ recent production of The Games Afoot.  Other favorite onstage roles of Jim’s include Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and Von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Jim lives in Milford with his wife. When he is not working on a show Jim likes to play golf and visit the Cape.

Lou Fuoco-Gaston

Lou was last seen at TCAN as Mortimer in the Players’ production of The Fantasticks. However Lou has been involved with Community Theater for many years. His favorite role would be when he recently played Otto Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank. Lou currently lives in Cambridge and is a tutor and ESL teacher at Berklee College of Music. Some of his hobbies include biking, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Mark Prokes- Einstein

Mark is thrilled to making his debut with the TCAN Players as Einstein in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Mark became involved with theater in college. Since then, some of his favorite roles include playing Clarence Darrow in Never the Sinner, Trekkie Monster in Avenue Q, and Malvolio in Twelfth Night. Mark is from and currently still lives in Westwood with his family although most of his summers have been spent with his Aunt in Liberec, Czech Republic. When not working on a show Mark loves to be out skiing and playing games (both the electronic and table top kind.)

Pamela Shewppe- Germiane

Pamela is making her TCAN Players debut in the show as Germaine. She lives in Maynard with her sweet dog Gracie. She has been performing since the age of 3 and some of her favorite recent roles include Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Kate in Other People’s Money and Susy in Wait Until Dark. Pamela has also performed with several chorale groups in the area. When she is not singing or performing a show, Pamela is Freelance Marketing Communications Copywriter, who specializes in travel.

Peter Themistocles- Shemendian

Peter is beyond thrilled to be making his TCAN Players Debut. Peter was involved with Framingham High School Theater back in the day and is currently having a lot of fun doing musicals with his daughters in Millis. Peter lives in Millis with his wife and children where he loves cooking Greek food.

Sylvia Czuborow- Suzanne

Sylvia is currently a senior at Wellesley High School. She is thrilled to be making her TCAN Players debut as Suzanne in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Sylvia became involved in theater in the second grade and some of her more favorite recent roles include playing Clarise in Servant of Two Masters, Adrianna in Comedy of Errors, and Frenchy in Grease. She currently lives in Wellesley with her mother, brother and her dog, plus a sister who is away at college. Sylvia plans on attending Pace University in the fall where she hopes to one day do theater professionally.
