Kickstarter: You did it!

Dear friends,

My thanks to each and every one of our backers on Kickstarter...together we did it!

This Kickstarter campaign was a crazy ride for all of us. We had never tried anything like this, and had no idea how members and patrons would respond. Your pledges of $103,420 surpassed our project goal, achieved our first Stretch Goal and fully funded the projection equipment, cinema server and projection screen for the new theater. We are honored by your support!

I want to recognize the people who made the content for our Kickstarter page, which helped tell the story of our project so well.

We were extremely fortunate to find two professional film producers (who moonlight as TCAN volunteers) who offered to create video content for our campaign. They filmed a number of interviews with TCAN members, donors, performers and arts reporter Joyce Kulhawik, who became very interested in our vision to present art house cinema. Our special thanks to all those who participated, and particularly to our producers Jim Flis and Beth Chambers of Clever Mountain Video for their hours of work on the video and narrative. Thanks also to Joyce Kulhawik for her talent, experience and generosity, and to Grace Kelly for her support and enthusiasm.

Now that the Kickstarter appeal has ended, we will continue our other fundraising activities to finish our capital campaign successfully. We are close to our overall goal and it is going to happen!

We will have more detailed updates on the project in the weeks ahead.

Thank you sincerely for joining our campaign!
