Our mission is access: to serve the region by increasing opportunities to experience, participate in, and learn about the arts. We strive to present arts programs of the highest standard that are available to everyone.

JOB OPENINGS

Production Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Production Coordinator supports all aspects of event production and facility management for The Center for Arts in Natick. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage production systems including audio, lighting, cinema, staging
  • Coordinate tech crew including audio engineers, lighting designers, videographers 
  • Prep venue in advance of all events, including seating and concession supplies
  • Manage building systems including HVAC, electricity, plumbing, phone, internet

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Prior experience in live event production
  • Superlative time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Must work well under pressure and be even-tempered
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekend events
  • Hands-on experience with pro audio, stage lighting highly preferred

Marketing and Development Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing and Development Coordinator plays a leadership role in promoting all TCAN programming and development campaigns. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Produce marketing and fundraising collateral
  • Maintain TCAN website and e-signage
  • Manage TCAN's presence on social media
  • Manage segmentation of audience and programs
  • Manage the company branding
  • Represent TCAN at selected public events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in marketing communications
  • Experience with social media marketing, email marketing
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign
  • Video editing experience with Sony Vegas or similar highly preferred
  • Experience with website CMS, HTML highly preferred
  • Superlative time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Must work well under pressure and be even-tempered
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekend events

Event Manager - Movie Screenings

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Event Manager oversees movie screening events at TCAN to maximize the positive experience of our patrons. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Sell and print tickets using box office software
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve patron issues
  • Maintain accurate cash bank and daily sales reporting
  • Sell concessions and alcohol under the policies of TCAN and the Town of Natick
  • Supervise a team of volunteers to support pre- and post-event duties
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of lobby, venue and bathrooms
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Maintain working knowledge of digital cinema equipment and operations
  • Maintain working knowledge of food and beverage operations and facility
  • A high degree of computer literacy with ability to train others
  • Ability to deter disruptive conduct while encouraging positive interaction with guests
  • Ability to present a professional appearance

Event Manager - Live Performances

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and policies
  • Manage relations with performing artists and production crew, including final settlement and merchandise sales
  • Manage relations with TCAN production staff - lighting and sound

  • A high degree of computer literacy with ability to train others

Event Bar Manager

Reporting to the Event Manager for selected live performance events, the Bar Manager oversees the responsible sale of alcoholic beverages to enhance the positive experience of our patrons. Most TCAN events offer beer and wine only to adults 21 years of age or older with acceptable proof of identification. The ability to prepare mixed drinks is preferred but required for private functions only. The ability to work as part of a team is critical for this position.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Maintain successful operation of bar equipment including taps, kegs, CO2 gas
  • Sell concessions and alcohol under the policies of TCAN and the Town of Natick
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and policies
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve patron issues
  • Maintain accurate cash bank and daily sales reporting
  • Oversee a team of volunteers to support concession and alcohol sales
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of concession area and surfaces

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent related work experience
  • Maintain working knowledge of food and beverage operations and facility
  • TIPS certification to serve alcohol in Massachusetts
  • Ability to deter disruptive conduct while encouraging positive interaction with guests
  • Ability to present a professional appearance 
  • Superlative time-management and multi-tasking skills
