The
TCAN Players present The Star Spangled Girl
The Center for Arts in Natick, 31 Main Street
June 7 - 16, 2002
Directed by Mark Vincent
Synopsis:
Andy and Norman are political radicals who barely make a
living at working on their magazine, Fallout, which is dedicated to fighting
"the system" in America. Sophie, a former Olympic swimmer, is an all-American,
Southern girl who moves to an apartment next to Andy and Norman. Sophie's lack
of intelligence leads to many funny moments within the play, and her life
changes dramatically after her move. Almost instantly, Norman falls in love
with Sophie, who has no feelings at all for him. He becomes obsessed with her
to the point that, in one scene, he enters Sophie's apartment without permission,
and begins cleaning the floors.
