Over 25 years ago, as more children became professionally
involved in modeling and television, The Cameo Agency identified
the need to provide training for these budding actors and
models. A professional workshop--totally different from
expensive modeling schools--was developed and The Television
Workshop was born.
Intro to TV & Modeling is a professional on-camera workshop for
ages 8-15 that presents a professional overview of TV
commercials, modeling and on-camera acting. It is designed to
provide the foundation necessary to turn potential into
performance! This eight-week course includes:
-
Movement
-
Modeling
-
Photography
-
Speech
-

-
TV Commercials
For a small fee, students can receive:
-
An Mp3 of their radio commercial that can be emailed
-

All workshop faculty are professionals with extensive
resumes in Los Angeles, New York City and Boston, and each
has taught children and adults. Classes are small, allowing
teachers to provide hands-on training in preparing students
for potential jobs in print, media, TV commercials, radio
voice-overs, the Internet and major motion pictures.
Workshop graduates have gone on to appear in ads for Hasbro,
LL Bean, Talbots, Gap, Timberland, and many more. Others
have done TV commercials for companies including Verizon,
Comcast, McDonalds, Coke, and Papa Gino’s. Graduates have also
appeared in several major motion pictures such as Gone,
Baby, Gone, Bride Wars, Mystic River, 27 Dresses and others
too numerous to mention.
And no matter a student’s career path, they will take their experiences
from The TV Workshop into all walks of life!
