in Natick was notified of its acceptance to the online version of the Massachusetts
Catalogue For Philanthropy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to matching
the needs of nonprofit organizations with Massachusetts donors. The Catalogue,
the
first of its kind anywhere, was created in 1997 by a group
of leading
foundations to close the gap between Massachusetts' ranks in income and
in charitable giving - then the largest such disparity in the nation. It
has since become a showcase for Massachusetts philanthropy, and a one-stop
shop for a family's charitable giving. The Center for Arts in Natick was
chosen
in a rigorous competition by professional grantmakers. TCAN's application
was noted for its exceptional entrepreneurship, and evident
representation of the best in Massachusetts philanthropy. TCAN's online

For Philanthropy, scheduled for 2006.

Eastern Bank, Natick Federal Savings Bank, TD Banknorth, the Natick Mall,

ceremony on Oct. 20. Highlights of the firehouse restoration included reconstruction
of the original hose-drying tower, replacement of the historic cupola,
restoration of windows and masonry, a new roof, and the return of the modified
two double-bay entrances to the original four arched bays, complete with
opening wood doors. The cost of the project was about $2.2 million, which
was funded by contributions raised through TCAN's capital campaign.
