David Lavalley joined TCAN as its Executive Director in March of 2004. His diverse career background combines over 25 years of marketing and business management experience with an ongoing presence on the local music scene as a performing and studio musician. After attending Boston University with a focus in marketing communications, he was appointed Director of Marketing Operations for the PC Business Unit of Digital Equipment Corporation, a post he also held at Compaq Computer Corporation for their Enterprise Storage Products division.

As a performing musician David appears throughout New England with his classic hits tribute band The Paisley Project, and has been featured at the MDC Hatch Shell, City Hall Plaza and Foxwoods Casino among many regional venues.

David's vocal talents have been heard on numerous radio and TV commercials heard nationally. David has appeared as a background vocalist on countless local recording projects, working with recording artists ranging from Didi Stewart, Bellevue Cadillac, members of The Cars and many others. As an amateur actor David was featured in community theatre productions including Fiddler On The Roof (Motel), Man of La Mancha (Sancho Panza), Guys and Dolls (Sky Masterson), Thornton Wilder's The Skin Of Our Teeth (Henry) and Anton Chekov's A Marriage Proposal (Ivan Vassilevich Lomov), among many others. He was recognized with the Helen S. Stratton Drama Scholarship.

David supports community youth activities as a coach for the Natick Soccer Club, and with the Kids Connect program for middle-school youth. David resides in Natick, MA with his wife Sherry Sandoval and their two children.
