Get involved with music, theatre and visual arts programs at
the region's busiest arts organization!
While many of TCAN's feature artists are booked by staff members, volunteers
can play an active role in arts programming by joining one of several
program teams that review artistic submissions, make bookings decisions,
schedule and host events and much more.
Volunteers are needed for these program teams:
TCAN PLAYERS
Since their pilot production of "12 Angry Men" in 2001, the TCAN Players have
established themselves as a leading community theater company in Metrowest Boston.
Volunteers are needed as producers, directors, stage managers, lighting design,
set construction, publicity
specialists and more.
TCAN CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES
Now in their tenth year of presenting chamber music concerts at TCAN,
the Chamber Music Series seeks volunteers to review artist submissions
for consideration, staff chamber music events, prepare mailings
and publicize TCAN's classical music events.
ROCK OFF MAIN STREET
Monthly all-ages concerts feature young rock bands ready to move their
music from the basement to TCAN's stage. Volunteers are needed to
staff events, drive publicity and work as our "street team" to get
the word out on this great series for teens.
VISUAL ARTS AT TCAN
TCAN hosts monthly visual art exhibits in our main performance space, and also
at several satellite galleries located throughout downtown Natick. Volunteers
are needed to assist artists in hanging exhibits, organizing art receptions,
publicizing art exhibits and seeking new and interesting work for exhibition.
FOLK OPEN MIKE
TCAN's Folk Open Mike has been a tradition since
our opening ten years ago. And we could try to describe
this event by mentioning all the significant songwriters and talented
musicians
who have played and sung and captured a special moment in time.
But the TCAN Folk/Acoustic Open Mike night isn't about individuals so much as
it is about a community - a place where creative people meet
to exchange ideas, listen to each other’s musical expressions, and forge
lasting friendships based on a shared love of music and poetry. Volunteers
are always welcome to support events and help publicize the program.
