David Lavalley
Executive Director
David
Lavalley’s diverse career background combines over 25 years of
marketing and business management experience with an ongoing presence
on the local music scene as a performing and studio musician. After
attending Boston University with a focus in marketing and business administration,
David was employed as an operations and marketing executive with Digital
Equipment and Compaq Computer Corporation, most recently as Director
of Operations for Compaq’s Storage Products business with over
$2B in annual revenues.
As a performing musician
David has appeared throughout New England with his classic hits tribute
band “The Paisley Project”,
and has been featured at the MDC Hatch Shell, City Hall Plaza, Foxwoods
Casino and
The Center for Arts in Natick among many regional venues. His vocal talent
is heard on hundreds of radio and TV commercials heard nationally, and
he has appeared as a background vocalist on countless local recording
projects,
working with recording artists ranging from Didi Stewart, Charlie Farren,
Bellevue Cadillac, members of The Cars and many others.
David’s work as
a TCAN volunteer produced their extensive new website, for which he
acted as both project leader and contributing developer. He is Director
of TCAN’s Rock On Main Street program, providing an
opportunity for teen rock bands to perform original material on TCAN’s
main stage to an all-ages audience. David also provides sound engineering
support for featured TCAN performers including appearances by
Richie Havens and jazz-fusion guitarist Julien Kasper.
David is active in local youth activities as a coach for the Natick Soccer
Club, and with the Kids Connect program for middle-school youth. David resides
in Natick, MA with his wife Sherry Sandoval and their two children.
