A documentary that explores the history of Natick's diverse populations, from the time of the still-local Praying Indians tribe through the Civil War. In telling the history of Native Americans, African Americans and European Americans in Natick and Massachusetts, Praying Town aims to help those communities to learn more about each other's common history. In his native country of the Ivory Coast, Zokou was a writer for educational television before turning to film. Since moving to America in 2005, Zokou has done documentary film course work at Mass College of Art, and produced two short documentaries, Riding a Bicycle in Natick, and Eliza My Songbird, a documentary about autism. In 2011, he helped Boston University produce a documentary on introducing American elementary school students to Africa. Praying Town is Zokou's s third documentary film.
