Meet our 2016 ALL ACCESS PASS Winners

It’s no secret that our community means a lot to us. Without our supportive members, showcasing our high quality musicians and arts programs would be nearly impossible. It is our incredibly generous patrons and dedicated volunteer staff that help us keep the arts alive and accessible in Metrowest.

So as a thank you to our supporters, we have our annual “End of the Year Member Drive” extravaganza, where the grand prize is the coveted TCAN ALL-ACCESS PASS. Winners received two complimentary tickets for every TCAN produced event for the upcoming year. All memberships bought or renewed between November 1st and December 31st were eligible for one entry into our random ALL ACCESS PASS drawing.

We are happy to announce that this year’s 2016 ALL ACCESS PASS winners are Brian and Patti Gaudet.

We got a chance to get to know Brian and Patti a little more. Here's what we found out:

Where are you from? We live in Norfolk, MA.

How did you hear about TCAN? We received a gift membership from the Koloskys of Natick.

How long have you been a TCAN member? Including our gift membership, I think 2016 will be our fourth year.

What are some of your favorites past shows? So many! Felix Cavalieri, Peter Wolf, Richie Furay Band, Billy Cobham, Paul Kantner and Beatlejuice immediately come to mind.

What performances are you looking forward to the most in 2016? We are excited for Orleans, Pure Prairie League, some of the jazz, blues and classical performances and the TCAN Players.

If you could have anyone perform at TCAN, who would you love to see? We would LOVE to see Jan Hammer, Ian Anderson, Tim Weisberg and the Indigo Girls.

What’s the best part about being a TCAN Member? The chance to experience great art and entertainment so close to home.

We also spoke with last year’s winners, Clare and Mark Robinson, to see what their ALL ACCESS PASS experience was like and what advice they have for Brian and Patti:

How many shows did you attend? I didn't keep track but probably about 25-30 shows, mostly music but also including a play, a magician and a comedian. And we gave away or donated probably another 15 shows to introduce new people to TCAN. A number of those people became TCAN members - and spread the word to their friends and families.

What was your favorite performance? This is a really hard one to answer because we loved so many of them. Paula Cole was one of our recent favorites. We also loved Karla Bonoff, George Winston and Pousette Dart - who we try to see every time they come to TCAN. We loved being introduced to new bands - and remember Carbon Leaf and Guns, Girls and Glory as two of our favorite "finds" through the All Access program.

What are you going to miss MOST about the All Access Pass? Exposure to all the live music - and getting introduced to all the new performers that we would not have known about if we hadn't focused on making use of the All Access pass. We not only liked going to the shows ourselves, but we loved sharing the TCAN experience with friends.

Overall, how did you like the All Access Pass? I tell everyone it is one of the best things that has happened to me! The timing was perfect. I had made a New Year's resolution to find ways to get more music into our lives - and to take advantage of the live performances, lectures, etc. that the Boston area has to offer -- and then we got the call from TCAN. It was amazing to see so many talented artists -- some known, but most unknown to us -- and to become part of the TCAN community. As I mentioned before, it allowed us to introduce TCAN to many new people who didn't know about this venue. People were excited to learn that TCAN can get such amazing acts and is so easy (parking, etc.) and affordable. It also got us "in the mode" to look for and attend more live music and theater performances in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville - which we will continue to enjoy along with TCAN.

Thank you so much to everyone that entered! We look forward to all our 2016 performances and we cant wait to see you there!
