During the month of February, 2002, the Gallery at TCAN will feature paintings by Christina Keating and Amy Furman. entitled “A Room and a View.”

Christina's bright Matisse-like interiors feature windows, doors, and balconies that lead the eye and suggest a wider world, they are thresholds, not boundaries. “ My images combined with my consideration of composition and color lead the viewer to see warmth, beauty, and optimism in everyday surroundings,” she declares.

Amy's abstract landscapes seem to be enlargements and elaborations of the scenes beyond these rooms with a view: “My work is inspired by nature; its energy, rhythms, tempo, and order. The emotional impact of color is central to my work, as is surface and texture.”

There will be a reception to meet the artists on Sunday, February 17, from 1 to 3 PM in the TCAN Gallery at 31 Main Street, Natick. Refreshments wil be served.
