Ruth Scotch and Donna Savastio will give a talk about the varying ways that artists use photographs in their creative process and the different results that are produced. Photographs provide the source material for all of the paintings in this show. Historically many artists have used photographs as part of their creative process. Ruth and Donna feel that the use of photographs does not in any way lessen the importance of artwork, and they invite us to examine the varying applications they have used to arrive at their final images.
