Goals of the project

• To expand students' knowledge of the creative process
• To develop and refine students' artistic skills by creating a permanent piece of public art for the community
• To provide opportunities for students to become involved in the collaborative process required of a large scale project
• To help students understand the role of art outside the classroom in the community and in society at large
• To encourage students to become a part of the artistic life of the community
• To reflect the strengths and raise awareness of the visual arts program in the Natick Public Schools
