Goals of the project
- To expand students' knowledge
of the creative process
- To develop and refine students'
artistic skills by creating a permanent piece of public art for the
community
- To provide opportunities
for students to become involved in the collaborative process required
of a large scale project
- To help students understand
the role of art outside the classroom in the community and in society
at large
- To encourage students to
become a part of the artistic life of the community
- To reflect the strengths
and raise awareness of the visual arts program in the Natick Public
